Micro-teaching

Description of micro teaching

The micro-teaching session focused on enhancing Speaking skills for the cadets at the A2 proficiency level. This session was a critical opportunity to apply TESOL theories within a specialized and disciplined military context.

At the beginning of the session, our group encountered some unexpected technical issues with the equipment. However, this challenge became a valuable test of our leadership and adaptability. By staying calm and quickly pivoting our delivery, we ensured the lesson flow remained uninterrupted. This experience was a profound lesson in contingency planning, proving that the quality of teaching depends more on the educator’s resilience than on the tools available.

The most highlighting part, however, was the exceptional engagement of the cadets. Despite the formal and serious atmosphere, the students demonstrated a high sense of responsibility. They were remarkably enthusiastic, volunteering to contribute their ideas and participating in every speaking task with great focus.

For all members of our group, it was a very meaningful experience to perform teaching in such a specialized environment. The cadets' disciplined yet proactive cooperation ensured that our pedagogical goals were achieved effectively, making this practicum a pivotal milestone in our journey toward becoming professional educators.
